High School Articulation Agreements
Chapter 74 Technical High Schools Statewide Transfer Articulation Agreements
In 2010, the Massachusetts Community Colleges Executive Office (MCCEO) and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) partnered to form a task force with representation from both chapter 74 vocational high schools and community colleges to form statewide articulation agreements, where students can receive college credits for work completed while in high school.

Students must have a "B" (3.0) grade point average in their vocational courses and a 2.0 ("C") overall average, in order to receive college credit once they enroll at QCC. It must also be within 2 years of graduating from high school.
Below, is a table that shows the credits that QCC will award students for their work while in high school.

Independent Articulation Agreements:
Any non-chapter 74 high school that is interested in articulating courses with QCC can fill out the required "Course Equivalency Request" forms provided on the QCC website. The articulated courses are courses that "mirror" college credit courses. The students take these courses while in high school and receive college credit if they enroll at QCC and meet the requirements. Once the high school courses are approved, QCC and the high school will sign an Articulation Agreement. The students taking courses through independent articulation agreements are required to meet all the state requirements for receiving college credit. If they graduate from high school and have a "B" (3.0) grade point average in their vocational courses and a 2.0 ("C") overall average, they will receive college credit once they enroll at QCC
