Influenza (Flu)
According to national statistics, elevated Influenza Activity: Influenza B/Victoria and A(H1N1)pdm09 Viruses are the Predominant Viruses. Influenza-like illness (ILI, defined by fever >100°F and cough and/or sore throat). Your best protection is the Flu shot so please remember the following:
It is not too late to get your FLU shot! A flu shot is the best protection to prevent flu illness and serious flu complications, including hospitalization.
CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone 6 months and older.

Public Health Advisory - Opiate Overdose
The City of Worcester Division of Public Health is concerned about an increase in deaths related to opiate overdoses in recent days. Preliminary testing indicates that contaminated heroin may be available on the streets. If you witness a suspected drug overdose please call 9-1-1 immediately.
