More than a Day Off.

On January 20, 2020, millions of people across the United States will unite in service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  As noted by the United Way of Central Massachusetts, a national day of service honoring the memory of Dr. King is valued as a "day on, not a day off," with millions nationwide contributing to the largest volunteer day of the year. This year, partnering with the United Way of Central Massachusetts, WamsWorks (Worcester Area Mission Society) & the United Congregational Church, we invite you to participate in this day of service at the MLK Breakfast.

With a focus on early literacy, we are requesting attendees bring a children’s books for grades K-3 about Dr. King or one that has a justice theme.  All books will be distributed to select Worcester schools. In addition, we invite you to assist in a service project at the conclusion of the breakfast in which we will be assembling early literacy kits for young Worcester students. Help fill a literacy kit on your way out of the breakfast.  Come and enjoy a morning of great music, local speakers and service.

Online registration is now closed.
