Mandatory Safety Training on Health and Safety Requirements Before Returning to Campus

All students, staff and faculty, including those already working on campus must complete the mandatory safety training on health and safety requirements before returning to campus. This is a one time training. By completing this training you understand and agree with the safety guidance provided.

In order to operate, all Massachusetts businesses will need to meet the Mandatory Workplace Safety Standards and relevant Sector-Specific Protocols published by the state. Educational materials or trainings must be provided to define how or what they should do to prepare them before coming to campus or returning to workplaces.

Note: All businesses and activities, as they reopen, must meet the following minimum safety standards and provide educational training for employees regarding the following:

  • Social Distancing
  • Hygiene Protocols
  • Use of Face Coverings
  • Stop the Spread of Germs
  • COVID-19 Self-Checker

Self-Checker

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please do a COVID-19 self-checker every day before coming to campus:

  • Fever
  • Sore throat
  • New cough
  • New shortness of breath
  • New muscle aches
  • Unexplained loss of taste or smell

This list does not include all possible symptoms. People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.

If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency, such as severe shortness of breath or high fever, call 911. This self-checker is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a medical professional for serious symptoms or emergencies.

Hand Hygiene

Following CDC guidelines, handwashing for at least 20 seconds of washing with soap and water is preferred particularly when hands are visibly soiled and throughout the day. Hand sanitizer stations are also available throughput the campus.

Universal Mask Policy

The policy requires that each individual to always wear a face covering or mask at all times while on campus. The face covering or mask must cover the nose and mouth and may be reused if not soiled. Individuals working in private offices with closed doors may remove their face covering or mask only when in this setting. Your cloth face covering may protect them. Their cloth face covering may protect you.
