Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - What does the Student Accessibility Services Office do?
Student Accessibility Services provides reasonable academic accommodations and assistance for students with learning, physical, and/or emotional/psychiatric disabilities. We strive to ensure a campus environment that is barrier-free for students who require access to the college setting. - I think I have a disability. What do I do?
You may speak to one of the coordinators to begin to determine whether the barrier you are experiencing is due to a disability. Please call the office at 508.854.4471 to get started. - How do I receive Student Accessibility Services?
The process is several steps outlined here: Contact the office to speak with a coordinator; submit your disability to the office using the SAS Document Dropbox and complete the Selfie; meet with a coordinator to discuss eligibility for services; and lastly, receive an Accommodation letter from your coordinator which you may then forward to course instructors. - Does Student Accessibility Services complete assessments to provide documentation of disability?
No. Student Accessibility Services does not do assessments. The Coordinator will advise the student of assessment options; i.e., private assessment, Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, etc. - How do I utilize my extended testing accommodations?
At this time, SAS does not offer in-person testing services. If you have questions, please talk with your coordinator. - How do I get a tutor?
